In 2010, prior to the transition of the development of OpenOffice.org to the Apache Incubator, some of OpenOffice’s developers came together and formed a new group, The Document Foundation. With concerns that continued
development of OpenOffice would be stalled, The Document Foundation moved the project forward, and LibreOffice was born.
Like its sister program, LibreOffice provides users with a free, open-source alternative to Microsoft Office. And like OpenOffice, LibreOffice has the ability to run on Windows, Macintosh and Linux operating systems.
TOG Solutions has not only recognized the value of an additional MS Office alternative, we have added LibreOffice training to our programming available to organizations. In addition to standard training on all of LibreOffice programs, including Writer, Calc, Impress, Base, Draw and Math, TOG Solutions can customize any component of this training to suit your organization’s needs.
This 4-hour online session will provide participants with an overview of the entire LibreOffice package, and will be especially useful for those who are transitioning from Microsoft Office.
