In 2010, prior to the transition of the development of OpenOffice.org to the Apache Incubator, some of OpenOffice’s developers came together and formed a new group, The Document Foundation. With concerns that continued
development of OpenOffice.org would be stalled, The Document Foundation moved the project forward, and LibreOffice was born.
Like its sister program, LibreOffice provides users with a free, open-source alternative to Microsoft Office. And like OpenOffice, LibreOffice has the ability to run on Windows, Macintosh and Linux operating systems.
TOG Solutions has not only recognized the value of an additional MS Office alternative, we have added LibreOffice training to our programming available to organizations. In addition to standard training on all of LibreOffice programs, including Writer, Calc, Impress, Base, Draw and Math, TOG Solutions can customize any component of this training to suit your organization’s needs.
In addition to customized solutions, we offer online training that cover the basics of LibreOffice for $99.00. Upon registration and payment, you will have unlimited access to the LibreOffice Course, which is located within the TOG Solutions Training Center.
The training center uses the Moodle learning management system platform, and can be accessed via the Web or by using the Moodle Mobile app, available for the following platforms:
